This Privacy Policy explains how GTAInfinity (the site, we) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the site. We respect your privacy and aim to handle the minimum data necessary to operate the forum, the Frame Analyzer, and the related community features.
Who we are
GTAInfinity is an independent fan project. Contact: /contact. We are not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
What data we collect
Account data
When you create an account we store:
- Email address
- Chosen username and (optionally) display name + avatar
- Hashed password (bcrypt/Argon2 — we never see the plaintext)
- Authentication-provider identity (e.g. Google or Discord) when you sign in via OAuth
- Two-factor authentication factor (if you enrol)
User-generated content
Threads, replies, votes, captured frames, annotations, ratings, reactions, follows, bookmarks, bug reports — anything you create or interact with on the site.
Technical data
- IP address (used for rate-limiting, security, and IP-based bans where necessary)
- Browser user-agent string and approximate device size
- Timestamps of activity (created_at, last_seen_at, etc.)
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for the full list. Essential cookies (login session, CSRF) only by default; analytics and embedded-media cookies require explicit opt-in via the consent banner.
Why we use it
- Operating the forum. Showing your posts, votes, comments to other users.
- Authentication and security. Logging you in, preventing abuse, banning bad actors.
- Communication. Notifying you of replies, mentions, or moderation actions.
- Improving the site. Aggregate analytics on usage patterns (only with consent).
Retention
- Account data: kept while your account exists. Deleting your account erases it.
- Posts: kept indefinitely as community content. You can delete your own posts; founders can edit / remove anyone''s.
- IP logs: retained ~30 days for security investigations, then purged.
- Bug reports: retained until resolved + 90 days for audit, then purged.
Who we share data with
- Hosting: Vercel (US/EU edge regions) — runs the web app.
- Database & auth: Supabase (EU region) — stores accounts and content.
- OAuth providers: Google and Discord, when you sign in via them. They receive only the minimum profile info needed to authenticate.
- Embedded media: YouTube embeds set their own cookies; only loaded when you opt in.
We never sell personal data. We do not advertise.
Your rights under GDPR
If you''re in the EU/EEA/UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your account and associated personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Port your data to another service (export of posts and account info).
- Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time.

Age restriction
GTAInfinity is intended for users 13 years or older (16+ in jurisdictions that require it). If you are below this age, please do not create an account.
